Day Eighty Three Saturday 27th February Cotonou, Benin

Posted by admin . Filed under Cycle Blog | No Comments

Benin has been a pretty cool country. We crossed the border from Burkina and camped just the other side of the border about a km from some petrol station who assured us we could come back and watch the football that night. So after showers and supper, we headed up but after searching through african, arabic and any [...]

Report from Stewart - Arrived into Ouagadougou, got slightly lost due to diversions and road works, waited for Dangerous Steve to come find us and lead us to the campsite - which was through the hectic streets and on the other side of

After some stressful traveling and transferred and delayed flights, we finally got to our destination a day late.  My first smell of Africa was amazing.  A new world. My plan was to serve God and cycle, cycle, cycle.

Day 2 we got to Iain and Linda Williamsons - two truly Godly and fantastic people.  They were mum [...]

Day Sixty One Friday 5th February Bobo Dioulasso, Burkina Faso

Posted by admin . Filed under Cycle Blog | No Comments

We arrived into Bobo Dioulasso this morning. It was only a 75km ride from our campsite near Oradara but there were a few hills which weren’t great craic! Lonely Planet says Burkina Faso is a flat country but they clearly didn’t cycle though it.

Our last campsite in Mali was class though….right beside a wee river [...]

So we’re past Bamako. Cycling has been tough the past few days. We left Bamako bright and early on Monday morning, hit some traffic in the city and then Stu got a flat tyre which held us up a bit as it blew out his inner and also his tyre so we had to wait [...]

Day Fifty Five Saturday 30th January Bamako, Mali

Posted by admin . Filed under Cycle Blog | No Comments

So we’re in Bamako, Mali. A small campsite which seems to be the only one around and doubles up as an ideal location to pick up girls, buy and sell drugs and I’m sure if you asked nicely, Mohammed would be able to sort you out with pretty much anything else you wanted. We have [...]
